Okhansk — Wikipedia


Okhansk (Russian: Оха́нск) is a town and the administrative center of Ok hanky District of Perm Krai, Russia, located on the right bank of the Kama River, 119 kilometers (74 mi) southwest of Perm. The distance to Perm by the Kama River is 126 kilometers (78 mi). Population: 7,250 (2010 Census);[1] 7,994 (2002 Census);[2] 8,414 (1989 Census).

First mentioned in 1597 as the village of Okhannoye (Оха́нное), it was also called Okhanskoye (Оха́нское) or Okhan (Оха́н, Оха́нь). Town status was granted to it in 1781.
